Like a celebration, Joe Bocan’s Insoumise opens visually in spectacular excess. True to form, she revisits a repertoire spanning almost 40 years, offering her greatest hits in a new setting, as she did so well with Apocalypso and Les femmes voilées in Pour une histoire d’un soir.

We’re in for some surprises, too, with interpretations of well-known songs that seem to have been written for her, so much so that they stick to her skin. In this show, Joe also embodies other women, other stories, other lives. And to give them a voice, she lets us enter their world through a short monologue, a character or a song.
