Since the 1990s, Big Sugar has been a staple on the airwaves and the road, thanks to its powerful, soulful sound, combined with socially conscious lyrics and a strong reggae influence. Songs like “Diggin’ A Hole,” “If I Had My Way,” “Turn the Lights On,” and “Roads Ahead”—driven by Gordie Johnson’s distinctive guitar playing—have built them a loyal following that has earned them a Road Gold Award, while filling venues across North America.
