Safety
The organization of the Fête du Lac des Nations Promutuel Assurance works in collaboration with the City of Sherbrooke’s Police and Fire Department to ensure the smooth running of the event. Every year, the organization implements strict measures across all festival activities to ensure that all stakeholders experience a safe event.
Increased safety
To ensure the smooth running of the festival, the Security Director can rely on the support of several security teams and qualified volunteers to cover the entire event site – before, during and after the festival.

Emergency plan
In cooperation with the FLN organization and the City of Sherbrooke’s Police and Fire Departments, the Safety Director of the Fête du Lac des Nations Promutuel Assurance updates the event’s emergency and evacuation plan each year to improve the efficiency of incident response.
Crowd management
A team of trained professionals specialized in managing large crowds is also stationed in front of the main stage. The Sherbrooke Police and Fire Department ensures security outside the event site in close collaboration with the festival team.
Prevention
Respect and kindness
The Fête du Lac des Nations Inc. upholds the values of inclusivity, diversity, tolerance, and respect. The FLN team will not tolerate any homophobic, transphobic, fatphobic, racist, sexist, or xenophobic comments or gestures. This ZERO tolerance policy applies both on the festival grounds AND across the Fête du Lac des Nations Promutuel Assurance’s online plateforms.
Specialized interveners
The team from the Coalition sherbrookoise pour le travail de rue is present throughout the event to support young people aged 10 to 30 who are experiencing distress or various challenges. Meanwhile, the Élixir team works in addiction prevention, particularly among people who identify as women.

Qualified medical team
A large team of paramedics patrols the event throughout the festival. An emergency medical station is set up in the park during the six days of the event to provide emergency care to festivalgoers if needed.
