Volunteers provide invaluable support and contribute immensely to the success of the event. Each year, more than 400 volunteers join the Fête du Lac des Nations Promutuel Assurance family to lend a hand in its organization and help drive regional development.

Types of Volunteer Work

Would you like to get involved in the Festival? There are several types of volunteer opportunities available to you!

Would you like to get involved in the FLN? Several volunteering opportunities are available to you!

  • Skill-based Volunteering: Put your professional experience to good use in a role that allows you to contribute to the success of the largest festival in the Eastern Townships!
  • Workforce Introduction Volunteering *: The FLN welcomes volunteers starting at age 12! Gain a valuable first experience and add to your resume!

*The minimum age to volunteer is 18, excluding Family Place volunteers who can be 12 years of age or older.

  • Corporate Volunteering: Do you want to share your corporate values with your team and participate to the region’s cultural development? This is the perfect opportunity to spend time with your colleagues while giving back to your community.
  • Community Reintegration Volunteering: Each year, the FLN works with the Department of Justice to allow certain individuals to complete community service as volunteers.
  • Passion Volunteering: Do you like to get involved in your community? Passion volunteering is for you! Give your time to the FLN as part of a unique volunteering experience and see the positive impact of your work.

  • Welcome visitors to the festival ;
  • Manage the entry and exit of participants ;
  • Digitize electronic tickets ;
  • Sell daily tickets ;
  • Manage the cash register ;
  • Answer participants’ questions ;
  • Be the first and last contact for participants.

  • Collaborate with the head of security ;
  • Ensure the surveillance of the various sectors of the site ;
  • Ensure the well-being of festivalgoers ;
  • Create a safe environment for everyone.

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the various lodges ;
  • Ensure that the garbage cans are emptied regularly ;
  • Maintain the site of the Festival.

  • Direct festivalgoers to the various facilities on the site ;
  • Promote Sherbrooke’s touristic attractions ;
  • Promote eco-friendly transportation.

  • Ensure that the rules of the various games are respected ;
  • Ensure the safety of the children ;
  • Manage the multipurpose stand : Manage stroller rentals and identify children with bracelets.

  • Participate in the Ecofestive awareness campaign ;
  • Answer the questions of festivalgoers ;
  • Ensure that the garbage is sorted in the right bins ;
  • Ensure that the garbage cans are always clean ;
  • Ensure the general cleanness of the site.
