Kim Churchill
Kim Churchill lives for and through the guitar. He blends exceptional technical skill with complex fingerpicking, percussive playing on the neck and body of the guitar, two-handed tapping, harmonica melodies, and foot percussion—all layered beneath a deep and moving voice. A true virtuoso and a powerful stage presence, Kim Churchill captivates audiences with both his talent and genuine humility.
In 2009, right after finishing high school, Kim hit the road and began performing in the streets. That same year, he was awarded “National Youth Folk Artist of the Year” in his native Australia. After being selected from hundreds of applicants for the Byron Bay Bluesfest Busker Competition in 2010, he quickly made his way into the local music scene, sharing the stage with renowned artists. A regular presence on stages across the province since the beginning of his career, Kim Churchill has developed a deep connection with Quebec, which he considers his second home.
