Whether they are associated with alternative pop, bucolic folk or psychedelic indie rock, these three multi-instrumentists – Devon Portielje (vocals, guitar, piano, percussion), Conner Molander (vocals, guitar, keyboard, piano, pedal steel guitar, bass, harmonica) and Dylan Phillips (vocals, drums, piano, keyboard) – build their reputation over arrangements and harmonies as witty as dreamy. Melodies so pleasant to the ear that will eventually take possession of your soul. In Québec, Half Moon Run has earned outstanding acclaim, as reflected by the numerous Félix awards received over the years at the ADISQ galas: Album ou Spectacle de l’année – Interprétation autres langues (2013), Artiste québécois s’étant le plus illustré hors Québec (2016) and Spectacle de l’année – Anglophone (2017). Furthermore, 2019 sees the release of the band’s third opus, A Blemish in the Great Light, which landed them their first Juno award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year, the following year. The year 2020 marks the emergence of Seasons of Change EP collection in addition to the Covideo Sessions pandemic series. In 2021, Half Moon Run composes and records Inwards & Onwards, a fully self-produced album and a beacon of a new beginning.
